About a month ago, a particular commercial came on during a basketball game I was watching that almost brought me tears of laughter. It was a commercial from Sonic Drive-In re-introducing the “two-sonic guys.”

A little over four years ago, Sonic introduced a line of commercials featuring two average guys sitting in a car at a Sonic Drive-In. The commercials would always begin with them talking about a certain new product being featured and then going into a completely unrelated rant or argument. For example:

One character, always featured on the driver’s side, is the level headed or “voice of reason” in each commercial segment. The man featured on the passenger side can be defined simply as “the nimrod.” Together, the two sonic guys created a duo that perfectly personifies my sense of humor.
